Gustav Klimt

The Belvedere’s collection of 24 works by Gustav Klimt stands at the core of the museum’s holdings. In its online collection catalogue, titled Collection Online, the Belvedere makes the results of its extensive research on these works available in a contemporary digital format. Each entry includes in-depth art-historical essays, texts on the current state of provenance research and the latest findings from conservation science, digital reproductions of documents from the Belvedere archives, as well as detailed lists of exhibition histories and scholarly literature.
