His work “O4,” for example, looks different depending on your standpoint. It is a reverse glass montage: The artist painted a panel with cubic shapes in the primary colors yellow, red, and blue, plus black and white elements. He then placed the painting in a wooden box and covered it with panes of ribbed glass. The texture and grid-like structure of the glazing make the assemblage’s appearance change as you approach it from different angles.
