By contrast, the center of the Znaim Altarpiece is a relief representing a multifigured Crucifixion scene. At that time, narrative depictions of this kind are to be found more frequently in paintings, such as Conrad Laib\u2019s Salzburg Crucifixion of 1449. The three-dimensional quality of the Znaim Altarpiece heightens the sense of realism and immediacy. This effect is further emphasized by the well-preserved polychromy."},"title2":{"label":"Alternative Title","value":"aus der Wenzelskapelle bei der Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus in Znaim/Znojmo (Südmähren)"},"medium":{"label":"Medium","value":"Relief in limewood on spruce planks, oak frame, largely original mounting, gold ground of right panel renewed c. 1500"},"onview":{"label":"On View","value":"1"},"title":{"label":"Title","value":"The 'Znojmo Altarpiece'"},"classification":{"label":"Genre","value":"Sculpture"},"primaryMedia":{"label":"PrimaryMedia","value":"/internal/media/dispatcher/161276/full"},"displayDate":{"label":"Date","value":"c. 1440/1445"},"id":{"label":"Id","value":"10193559"},"iiifManifest":{"value":"https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/apis/iiif/presentation/v2/1-objects-3602/manifest"},"dimensions":{"label":"Dimensions","value":"Schrein (mit Originalrahmen): 254 × 297 cm"}}]}
