This painting shows Caroline and Viktor, the two youngest children of the Milanese dancer Caterina Gattai and the count Carlo Tomatis who, for two years, was director of the Warsaw Opera House. The children stand next to a bust. Along with the dark background this is probably a later addition by another hand. Lampi\u2019s sensitive rendering of the sitters\u2019 facial expressions adds an individual quality to this official portrait."},"title2":{"label":"Alternative Title","value":"Zwei Kinder aus der Familie der Grafen Thomatis"},"medium":{"label":"Medium","value":"Oil on canvas"},"onview":{"label":"On View","value":"0"},"media":{"label":"Media","value":["https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/internal/media/dispatcher/162094/full"]},"title":{"label":"Title","value":"Caroline and Victor of Tomatis"},"classification":{"label":"Genre","value":"Painting"},"primaryMedia":{"label":"PrimaryMedia","value":"/internal/media/dispatcher/163538/full"},"displayDate":{"label":"Date","value":"1788-1789"},"id":{"label":"Id","value":"10306201"},"iiifManifest":{"value":"https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/apis/iiif/presentation/v2/1-objects-8228/manifest"},"dimensions":{"label":"Dimensions","value":"98 × 80 cm"}}]}
