This painting shows Caroline and Viktor, the two youngest children of the Milanese dancer Caterina Gattai and the count Carlo Tomatis who, for two years, was director of the Warsaw Opera House. The children stand next to a bust. Along with the dark background this is probably a later addition by another hand. Lampi’s sensitive rendering of the sitters’ facial expressions adds an individual quality to this official portrait.</schema:description><schema:artForm>Painting</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/objects/8228/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork></rdf:RDF>
