Lost in thought, her head resting on her hand, a young woman is looking at herself in the mirror. She is naked, other than a blue necklace and a silk scarf. But Helene Funke’s nude does not exude eroticism. Instead, the artist captures a moment of self-reflection. She was one of the first artists to introduce to Austria the wild, contrasting style of the French Fauves. Funke’s many depictions of women explore female worlds with subtlety and nuance. </value></field><field label="Genre" name="classification"><value>Painting</value></field><field label="Id" name="id"><value>10220686</value></field><field label="Source ID" name="sourceId"><value>83909</value></field><field label="Location" name="locationssite"><value>Upper Belvedere</value></field><field name="media" mediaRecordID="117819" label="Media"><type>Image</type><license>Diese Bilddateien werden ausschließlich für privaten Gebrauch zur Verfügung gestellt.
