The circular shapes in the painting White on Blue and Red similarly draw on technology, conveying an impression of large flywheels in motion, albeit highly abstracted. The red and blue round forms and circular segments evoke the impression of dynamism, while black vertical and horizontal bands have a stabilizing effect. The Czech painter was one of the first artists to exhibit abstract paintings in Paris. In the 1930s he became a key member of the artist group Abstraction-Création."},"medium":{"label":"Medium","value":"Oil on canvas"},"onview":{"label":"On View","value":"1"},"media":{"label":"Media","value":["https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/internal/media/dispatcher/115420/full"]},"title":{"label":"Title","value":"White on Blue and Red"},"classification":{"label":"Genre","value":"Painting"},"primaryMedia":{"label":"PrimaryMedia","value":"https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/internal/media/dispatcher/115420/full"},"displayDate":{"label":"Date","value":"c. 1934"},"id":{"label":"Id","value":"11852311"},"iiifManifest":{"value":"https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/apis/iiif/presentation/v2/1-objects-85014/manifest"},"dimensions":{"label":"Dimensions","value":"72 × 80 cm"}}]}
