At the center of the painting is a young woman in blue, tilting her head dreamily toward the man on the left in the picture. He is surrounded by sensual, intertwined bodies, but he looks only at the woman by his side. There are still many puzzles surrounding this painting. Is Klimt exploring male desire? Or is the painting a symbol of a woman\u2019s journey from child to adult and even to motherhood? Klimt depicted the relationship between man and woman one last time in this large allegorical work. The Bride was only added as the title after the artist\u2019s death."},"medium":{"label":"Medium","value":"Oil on canvas"},"onview":{"label":"On View","value":"1"},"media":{"label":"Media","value":["https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/internal/media/dispatcher/160635/full"]},"title":{"label":"Title","value":"Bride"},"classification":{"label":"Genre","value":"Painting"},"primaryMedia":{"label":"PrimaryMedia","value":"/internal/media/dispatcher/160632/full"},"displayDate":{"label":"Date","value":"1917/1918"},"id":{"label":"Id","value":"10214135"},"iiifManifest":{"value":"https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/apis/iiif/presentation/v2/1-objects-9020/manifest"},"dimensions":{"label":"Dimensions","value":"165 × 191 cm"}}]}
