Here, the artist takes the personal Feldenkrais archive of her mother—who studied and taught the movement techniques developed by Moshé Feldenkrais in the 1950s—as the starting point for her work Feldenkreis_ F2_002 extended. She expands her mother’s notations and transforms them into visible manifestations of movement as drawings in space. In the process, the specialized artisans who bent the steel tube were given precise instructions and asked to coordinate their movements with Dertnig’s, becoming part of the performative act themselves.
