The video Soft Rope follows a human hand as it explores a black rope. The attentive, precise movements are repeatedly interrupted by hard cuts. The slow probing of the object and the sensory communication between person and thing convey a friction that is almost physically palpable. Kapusta documents this process of grasping, of seeing with the hand, in a grainy black-andwhite film. The artist has also captured the resulting experiences in a poem that accompanies the moving image."},"title2":{"label":"Alternative Title","value":"Soft Rope"},"medium":{"label":"Medium","value":"16mm Film übertragen auf High-Definition Video, schwarz-weiß, ohne Ton, Klebebuchstaben"},"onview":{"label":"On View","value":"1"},"media":{"label":"Media","value":["https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/internal/media/dispatcher/119913/full"]},"title":{"label":"Title","value":"Soft Rope"},"classification":{"label":"Genre","value":"Film/video art"},"primaryMedia":{"label":"PrimaryMedia","value":"https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/internal/media/dispatcher/123205/full"},"displayDate":{"label":"Date","value":"2015"},"id":{"label":"Id","value":"12372863"},"iiifManifest":{"value":"https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/apis/iiif/presentation/v2/1-objects-87937/manifest"},"dimensions":{"label":"Dimensions","value":"Film/Video-Dauer: 3 Min."}}]}
