Over the course of more than four decades, Fritz Steinkellner has developed an extensive oeuvre spanning drawing, painting, printmaking, and object art across distinct yet interconnected phases of work. At the heart of his artistic inquiry are questions concerning rearrangements, laws, rules of perception, controllability, and permeability. In the early object „Disc“, the artist condenses mathematical geometric elements, horizontal and vertical forms, and selected colors into a harmonious composition. The Belvedere collection also includes a large-format construction drawing for this work, which shows that Steinkellner’s composition for „Disc“ was by no means spontaneous but results from a carefully balanced creative process.</schema:description><schema:artForm>Object art</schema:artForm><schema:copyrightHolder>© Bildrecht, Wien 2026</schema:copyrightHolder><schema:url>https://sammlungtest.belvedere.at/objects/106162/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork></rdf:RDF>
