Accordingly, Heideloff’s Vintage does not depict an idealized, composed landscape but a specific area north of Vienna: The Bisamberg appears to the right, while the more prominent Leopoldsberg rises on the left. On the opposite bank of the Danube, the town of Korneuburg is visible as a faint silhouette. Heideloff shows a lively landscape, animated by several boats on the Danube and figures working in the vineyard, offering a glimpse into everyday life along the river. Apart from this work, only one other painting by the artist has so far been identified in a public collection.
